Sharp MZ 700 - 1983

The 700 was a departure in that it came without a monitor but was still a "clean" machine and still ran 80A,B,K software though the reverse is not often true as the 700 had low-resolution graphics. The 700 came in a number of guises, the base 711, the 721 which had an internal cassette recorder and the 731 which had the cassette recorder and a built-in colour plotter. Any machine can be upgraded by adding the missing parts. There was also a 780 which was sold as more of a business machine. The 700 was replaced, in 1984, with the 800 sold in the same way as 811, 821 and 831.
